The first lesson has already been posted. It was in January 2007. There will be a new lesson in June. We were orginally going to be posting them monthly but studio bookings, and planning and developing of the online store have taken up most of our time.

Check out the lesson at http://www.ebomusic.net/guitar.htm

The lesson was definitely informative. I learned something new. It did remind me of the Steve Vai clip that starts with him saying "This is what I like to do with a 7 string guitar."

HA, yes I saw that clip....I think he could have done something cooler though. That was a little low key, just using the B string as a pedal point pretty much. I would liked to have seem him riff it out big time and then loop a vamp or something and solo over it making use of the 7th string, but hey its Vai...he can do whatever he wants and it still sounds sweet!

What was funnier was he said "This is what you can do with a 7 string guitar....well... this is what "I" like to do with a 7 string."

Any man that can meet an accordionist versed in Bulgarian wedding music, and write a song based on it, certainly is a musical king in my book.

That is one of my favorite songs on Real Illusions. Thats a sweet song. So complex though. I dont know how he writes stuff like that. I just ordered Sound Theories yesterday. I cant wait to hear his compositional work. He is a fricking genius man.

I'd have to agree with you both on how much of a genius Vai is, however I do quite enjoy the playing of Satch, Gilbert, Petrucci, and more.
